  • What exactly is Flying Rabbit Adventures?

Combining a world-class aerial adventure park, an unparalleled outdoor experience suitable for all ages, and a chance to learn about and cultivate an appreciation for trees and the natural environment of the Southeast region, Flying Rabbit Adventures is Greenville’s newest and most exciting attraction.

Built on five acres of heavily wooded land near downtown Greenville and adjacent to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, Flying Rabbit Adventures offers participants a three-story, tree-spanning obstacle course featuring  58 uniquely designed athletic experiences. There is also a bike pump track for those who prefer to stay on the ground, which will appeal to adventure seekers of all abilities and those looking to try something new.

Founder Jonathan Simmons, who has consulted on the design, building, and tree care for aerial parks worldwide, has used his vast expertise to bring this new park to his hometown. Leveraging all that Jonathan has learned and seen and the industry’s most innovative and advanced technologies, Flying Rabbit Adventures’ exhilarating tree-top activities will include rope walks, swinging platforms, climbing elements, zip lines, and more.

  • Are there age or height restrictions in place?

Our courses are geared more toward height and weight than age requirements, but as a general rule…

    • It is not required, but suggested that children under 60” are accompanied by an adult on the course.

    • Must be over the height of 50 inches to participate in the activity.

    • Children under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian on-site at all times.

    Orville’s Kids Course Requirements:

Flying Rabbit Adventures Modular Pump Track:

    • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult while on-site

  • Must parents or guardians accompany minors while at the park?

Anyone under 16 must have a parent or guardian on-site. It is not required, but suggested that Children under 60” are accompanied by an adult on the course.  While the adult on site does not need to be a parent or guardian, there must be one adult per child at all times.

The kids’ course was designed to allow children to be on the course unattended. However, parents should stand next to the course (not under or inside) to help coach their kids and take pictures.

Are there other physical limitations on who can participate?

The lowest levels of the main course feature beginner and intermediate level elements which most everyone should be able to do with a little effort. While not any less secure, the higher levels of the course feature intermediate and advanced level elements that are more physically challenging. Aside from set height and weight requirements, we ask the public to use their best judgment on what works for them.

All participants must be able to fit appropriately in provided harness and helmet, be of sound mind and body, not under the influence of drugs (including prescribed medications that may impair the ability to operate a vehicle) or alcohol, and must not be pregnant (due to harness positioning).

  • Can I tip my Guides?

Absolutely! Tipping is customary in the guided industries. Although not required, gratuities are greatly appreciated by our guides who work very hard to give the best adventure experience possible. Tips can be added at the time of booking or can be done via credit or cash at our check-in building.

  • Is it just a bunch of zip lines or a ropes course?

The course is a full-scale, world-class aerial adventure park, comprising ziplines and different elements like poles and cables to walk across and elements that require one to swing or jump from platform to platform or hand over hand like monkey bars with nothing below. Each element in a course is a different challenge in using balance, strength, coordination, and mental abilities.

  • Are the courses built into the trees themselves?

The courses are all man-made structures carefully designed and constructed within the trees to preserve the tree and ecosystem health while still providing the experience of being in the trees that surround the structures.

  • Did you have to cut down any trees to build the park?

As a master arborist and tree conservationist, Jonathan Simmons has consulted with companies and organizations across the country on environmentally friendly construction practices, so efforts to preserve trees are always first and foremost in his mind.  Crews worked diligently to preserve as many trees as possible, cutting down only what was absolutely essential, removing non-native or invasive species, and conducting a massive reforestation effort in conjunction with TreesUpstate to replace those removed and add more.

How can you ensure a fun time?

At Flying Rabbit Adventures, fun is guaranteed but your security is paramount. All participants are fitted for and wear a harness and helmet, including a trolley for the continuous belay system, which will support them and ensure the feeling of freedom paired with the security of a tether and harness. All courses are staffed with highly trained adventure guides who are on hand to assist with putting on and inspecting equipment. Adventure guides will also offer insight on the courses and techniques, provide coaching to those who need a little extra assistance and can even help get participants securely through and down from the course, if needed. Our equipment and course are regularly inspected, and all staff are required to complete a rigorous training course from a third-party organization and to pass a practical skill evaluation and written test before they can start.

In addition to wearing the harness and continuous belay system, prior to getting on the course, each participant will go through a ground school where they are taught the basics of their gear and how to use it, as well as the dos and don’ts while on course and be given instruction on how to avoid getting stuck anywhere in the course.  Of course, our Adventure guides will be there every step of the way to help throughout their entire experience.

  • What should we wear/bring to the park?

Comfort and range of motion are essential, so we recommend clothing that will adequately cover and protect you while in a harness. Closed toe and closed heel shoes are also required.  Also, while the courses are somewhat covered and shaded by the trees, they are not entirely out of the sun, so dress accordingly.  Fanny packs, backpacks, or anything that could interfere with the harness cannot be worn.

We recommend bringing a bandana or hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle, but, if you forget, there is a gift shop on-site where those items and other fun stuff can be purchased.

  • Are waivers required?

Waivers are required for all participants and can be completed online when booking in advance. While walk-ups will be limited, those who buy walk-up tickets must complete a waiver on-site. A parent or guardian signature is required for all those under 18.

  • What are your hours of operation?

  • Do you operate rain or shine?

Open during wind, rain and sun! Closed during lightning storms but will re-open when the skies are clear.

  • What is your cancelation policy?

All reservations are charged in full at the time of booking. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation you are required to notify us 72 hours/3 days prior to your scheduled tour. Reservations are considered final 72 hours/3 days prior to your scheduled tour and are not eligible for a refund OR rescheduling.  Applicable reservations will be refunded in full with the exception of the 6% processing fee charged at the time of booking.

  • Are reservations required?

While not required, reservations are highly encouraged. Depending on capacity and attendance, a limited number of walk-up admissions may be accommodated.  Reservations can easily be made on our website, and full payment is required to ensure a reservation. Waivers can be easily completed and forwarded to others in the party using our online system.

  • COVID protocols

Flying Rabbit Adventures follows all city and county ordinances regarding the use of masks.  While outdoors, because of the physical nature of the activity, we  also highly encourage the use of masks when congregating close to other participants.

  • Are there concessions or places to eat on-site?

Flying Rabbit Adventures is part of the Holland Park development, which includes several restaurants and bars, including Home Team Barbecue, Greektown Express, and Double Stamp Brewery to help you turn your trip here into a full day/evening adventure. We think we’ve created the perfect place for a great date night, evening with friends, or family fun day.
